Moncton Aug 23 8PM 1953 9:30 P.M. August 22, 1953 Left Kingsfort Friday noon. Arrived in Pictou Centre for the ferry to P.E.I. Saw the monument erected to the passengers of the ship Hector one of whom was you father Mark's ancestor. Got up early to take the ferry. So many ahead of us had to wait til ten o'clock. Had a very pleasant trip over and found several new friends. Had our dinner in Charlottetown then up north to Cavendish where we saw the home of Anne of "Green Gables". Came to Summerside arrived at five o'clock. Dr, MacS? home. Me & M. had left for Brighton a day or two ago. We are staying all night in a very nice cabin down on the coast. (?) a real (horserace?) Mother.
